Strip of gold lace with one-sided ivy leaves; Strip of spool lace; gold lace. The pattern consists of a concatenation of unilaterally oriented leaves; which have the shape of ivy leaves or vine leaves. The leaves form the scallops along the underside of the strip. A mesh ground has been created above the leaves; a borehole grate. We worked with lamella gold thread; smooth fil脙漏 yarn and ribbed fil脙漏 yarn; in various thicknesses. One half of each leaf is mainly filled with lamella gold thread; with some accent lines of ribbed fil脙漏 yarn. For the other half this is the other way around. The stem of the leaf; the contour lines and the vein in the middle are made with thicker fil脙漏 yarn. One flat ring-shaped paillette is inserted into the ground between the wires of the bars between the leaves.; anonymous; Italy (possibly); c. 1800 - c. 1899; bobbin lace; l 326 cm 脙鈥?w 6 cm 脙鈥? 7 cm
