The industries provide employment for men and women as well as products for export. In the Philippines -- Most of the stores stay open all day on Saturdays. The big stores are closed on Sundays but you can buy anything you need in the smaller shops until six. Sunday is fun-day. There are theatres, night clubs. racing and cock-fighting.
