Hubble Space Telescope (HST) optical image (left), James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) infrared image and a composite image (centre) of Messier 74 (M74) galaxy. Also known as the Phantom Galaxy, M74 is located around 32 million light years away from Earth in the constellation Pisces. The HST image on the left shows older, redder stars towards the centre of the galaxy with younger and bluer stars in its spiral arms. The JWST image on the right, shows masses of gas and dust in the galaxy's arms and dense cluster of stars at the core.
