Artemis I launch team inside Firing Room 1 of the Rocco A. Petrone Launch Control Center at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA on the 29th of August 2022. The launch of the Space Launch System (SLS) and Orion spacecraft was postponed to a later date due to the SLS RS-25 engines not reaching the required temperatures for launch within the 2 hour launch window. Artemis I will be the first uncrewed mission test flight of NASA's Artemis program. The Artemis program aims to land the first woman and the next man on the Moon by 2024. Artemis I is scheduled to launch in late 2022.
