Austria; city of Linz: facade of Lentos Art Museum (German: Lentos Kunstmuseum); opened 2003; The Lentos Art Museum is a museum of modern and contemporary art. It opened in May 2003 as successor of Neue Galerie der Stadt Linz (New Gallery of the City of Linz). The design of the museum building was realized by Zurich (Switzerland) based architects Weber & Hofer. It is 130 m long; offers c. 8000 m2 for use; and has a transparent glass facade; illuminated at night. Its location is directly on the Danube river between Nibelungen Bridge and Brucknerhaus.
