Norway; region of Northern Norway; town of Mosj鴈n; Fru Haugens Hotel; established 1794; inside: historic laid table with historic porcellain and historic wooden coffee grinder les in the museum section; the history of Fru Haugans hotel startet in 1794; when Erik Sjursen got a Royal license to operate an inn and a trading post; here. After several further owners; in 1885 Ellen Haugan from Alesund (Norway) took over and bought the establishment; in 1889; naming it Fru Haugans Hotel (Mrs. Haugan`s Hotel). Today; the hotel is still family run in fifth generation. it is famous for its arctic and traditional Norwegian food in Restaurant Ellenstuen (Ellen`s Restaurant). A section of the hotel shows historic furniture and historic kitchen ware (porcelain; ceramic; enamel); mostly of 19th and early 20th century. Fru Haugans hotel is the oldest hotel in Northern Norway.
