Poland; city of Poznan (former German: Posen): historic advertising column (Morris column; Litfa?column) aside Imperial Castle (Polish: Zamek Cesarski); The Imperail Castle was built 1905 - 1910 by architect Franz Heinrich Schwechten in neo-Romansque style. Its inauguration was at 21st of August; 1910. Starting in 1921; it became residence of the president of Polandand was partly used by the University of Poznan. Starting in 1940; it was reconstructed to become the residence of Adolf Hitler in occupied Poland and residence of the administrator of Wartheland; Arthur Greiser. Albert Speer ordered his young fellow architect Franz B鰄mer to realize the work; but B鰄mer resigned; in 1943. Today; Imperial Castle is a cultural centre with cinema and theatre.
