Monster of Lake Fagua, 18th century illustration. This monster was claimed to have been captured in Santa Fe, Peru, by a French article published in 1784. It was said to have a human-like face, with a wide mouth, long hair, two bull-like horns and large ears similar to a donkey's. It had bat-like wings and its lower body was covered in scales. It had two tails, one used to grip its livestock prey and the other ending in a stinger that was used to kill the prey.
