Western European house mouse (Mus musculus domesticus) climbing on Pyracantha sp. berries. This small rodent is native to Europe and Asia but has been introduced worldwide through association with humans. Laboratory mice typically belong to this species and are some of the most important model organisms in biology and medicine. Photographed in November, in Dorset, UK.
