Change of command for the International Space Station (ISS). This transition is marked by a traditional ceremony in which all crew members gather. The departing commander gives a speech and hands over the symbolic key of the Space Station to the next commander. Andreas Mogensen (left, born 1976) is a Danish engineer and astronaut. He returned to the ISS onboard the SpaceX Dragon 2 spacecraft for his second spaceflight as part of the Huginn mission in August 2023. One month after launching into space, Mogensen became commander of the ISS, a role he will remain in for the rest of the mission. Huggin will be Mogensen's first long-duration mission where he will work and live for 6 months. He will conduct over 30 experiments on climate, health and space, varying from water filtration to understanding thunder phenomena. He will be the longest serving European commander of the ISS. Photographed on 26 September 2023.
