Inguinal hernia on the groin of a 82 year old male patient. This is a protrusion of part of the intestine through the abdominal wall of the groin. It can appear as a swelling or lump in the groin, or as an enlarged scrotum, which may be painful. This condition typically affects older men, but it can happen at any age. Inguinal hernias can be treated using surgery to push the bulge back into place.
