Portrait of Raphaelle Peale, 1st quarter 19th century. An affidavit affixed to the back of this miniature asserts that it was painted by Charles Willson Peale and depicts the artists son. However this seems unlikely. This portrait is more in the style of Raphaelle Peale. The frame is not original to the painting.
