The pigment is present in the hepatocyte cytoplasm (light pink). The dark blue circles are the hepatocyte nuclei. A few interspersed red blood cells (bright red) are also seen in this image. Haematoxylin and eosin stained tissue section. Magnification: 400x when printed at 10cm.
