Sierra Madre del Sur Mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico. This is a mountain range that runs along the southern Pacific coast of Mexico. The range extends for some 1,000 kilometres from the state of Michoacán through the state of Guerrero all the way to the eastern part of Oaxaca. It is noted for its very high biodiversity which supports a wide range of plant and animal species, including a large number of endemic species.
