Boosters from the SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket, which launched NASAs Psyche spacecraft, landing on 13 October 2023 at Cape Canaveral, Florida, USA. The successful landing means that these boosters can be reused. The Psyche mission, which launched minutes before this photograph was taken, aims to reach an asteroid of the same name found in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. It is scheduled to reach this asteroid in summer 2029, when it will begin to take photos and collect data about its composition. The metal-rich composition of the asteroid could indicate that it is part of a planetesimal, the foundation of a rocky planet such as our own.
