Thousands of Hindu devotees sit with burning candles and seek blessings of an eighteen century Hindu saint Shri Shri Lokenath Brahmacharya. They fast and pray to gods for their favours during the ritual called Kartik Brati or Rakher Upobash at the temple of Lokenath Brahmacharya in Dhaka. The worshipers meditate, give charity, and perform austerity as taught by Shri Shri Lokenath Brahmacharya, a spiritual leader and philosopher.
