A street child has been collecting watermelon dumped by fruit traders in the River Buriganga. The photo was taken in the capital??? Waizghat area . The water of the river has become polluted and black due to rotten dumped fruits and other goods, municipality wastes and other industrial wastes in absence of supervision of concerned authorities, in most cases, being benefited illegally by the polluters. The polluted water has been causing health hazard to the people using the waterway as well as the people living by the river. If the concerned authorities were active and did their job without involving in corruption, the scenario would be changed.
