In the centre is Keates desk, above it the bust of Gladstone. On the left, near the curtain, the visitor is looking at Shelleys name cut in the panelling. The panelling all round the room is covered with the names of past Etonians. Speeches are recited here on the 4th of June. It was founded in 1440 by Henry VI under the name Kynges College of Our Ladye of Eton besyde Windesore.
