Nylon fibres are stronger and more elastic than silk and are relatively insensitive to moisture and mildew. Nylon is used in the manufacture of textiles (particularly hosiery and woven goods, including carpets), moulded articles and medical sutures. Magnification: x100 at 6x4.5cm size.
