Finding the end point of an iodine titration. 5 of 5. The titrant, a standard thiosulfate solution, is titrated against the iodate solution. Starch is added part way through to turn it blue and sharpen the end point. The end point occurs when the last trace of blue disappears. The solution is now clear.
