Surgery's latest aid resembles ancient torture device. The new and valuable aid to surgical science, which resembles a mediaeval torture machine was shown at the clinical Congress of the American College of surgeons in Chicago. The machine, known as the Bergiamini Fracture and Orthopaedic Operating Frame, gives increased comfort to the patient and allows the surgeon, free access to the field of operation.
