Somaskanda India, Tamil Nadu, Chola style, 12th century, bronze. The term Somaskanda refers to Shiva and means 'with Uma and Skanda'. In this particular presentation, Shiva and Uma sit on a rectangular pedestal, with the child Skanda standing between them.
