Superintendent D.O.G. Peto (right) and Chief Superintendent W. Barker (left). Dorothy Olivia Georgiana Peto (1886-1974), was first Woman Superintendent in the London Metropolitan Police. She served from 1930 until 1946, receiving the OBE in 1920 and the King's Police Medal in 1944. Winifred Theodora Barker (c1909-1995) was third commander of the Met Police A4 (Women's) Branch, rising to the rank of Chief Superintendent in 1960.
