NK/T-cell lymphoma, light micrograph. NK/T-cell neoplasms are almost exclusively extranodal and include extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (nasal type), aggressive NK-cell leukaemia, chronic lymphoproliferative disorder of NK cells, and NK lymphoblastic leukaemia/lymphoma. The most common site of involvement in NK/T-cell lymphoma is the nasal cavity. In this image, the respiratory mucosa is seen on the top, underneath which is a neoplastic infiltrate of small, medium-sized, or large cells which are admixed with apoptotic bodies and inflammatory cells.
