Converted telephone kiosk containing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) which gives a high energy electric shock to someone who is in sudden cardiac arrest. Using the instructions provided it can be operated by untrained members of the general public. There is also an emergency 999 telephone for an ambulance. The local authority has installed several other PADs in prominent positions around the town.
