Earthrise from Lunar Orbiter 1. Earth (upper right) is emerging over the limb of the Moon. The Lunar Orbiter spacecraft were used by NASA to select the Apollo landing sites on the Moon. This image was received by the NASA Tracking Station Robledo de Chavela near Madrid, Spain, on 23rd August 1966 at 16:36 GMT when the spacecraft was on its 16th orbit around the Moon.
