Edge of accumulated, compacted snow and ice falling into the sea in Chiriguano Bay on the southern coast of Brabant Island, Palmer Archipelago, Antarctica. The ice appears blue because air is squeezed out as the snow compacts and turns to ice. The ice absorbs warmer colours and reflects the blue light.
