Ngermid Bay, 360 aerial photograph. Ngermid Bay in Palau is close to the main town of Koror and consists of a variety of limestone islands in a semi closed bay. Tidal exchange is limited leading to warmer and more acidic water being retained in the least accessible areas. The corals that grow in these conditions are being researched for the ability to withstand these environmental extremes.
