Light micrograph of a section of a human skin growth called seborrheic keratosis. This is a benign (non-cancerous) growth on the skin. Its colour ranges from white, tan, brown, or black. Most are raised and appear ?榮tuck on??to the skin and generally look wart-like. Seborrheic keratoses are often found on the chest, arms, back, or other areas. It is considered harmless, is not contagious and doesn?檛 require treatment. People tend to get them when they get older. However, people may choose to have them removed if they find them irritating or catch on clothing.
