Box of capsules of the covid-19 drug molnupiravir. It is a analogue of the nucleobases cytidine and uridine. The drug is inserted into the viral RNA (ribonucleic acid) strand instead of cytidine or uridine, leading to a lethal accumulation of mutations in the viral RNA.
