A Statue For Australia -- Mr. G. Watson - a workman, is dwarfed by the huge statue at the Foundry, 15ft in height. King George is wearing the robes of the Order of the Garter. The fine bronze statue of King George Vth ordered by the Australian Government for Parliament Buildings at Canberra, is now nearing completion at the London Foundry of Messrs Morris Singer & Co. The statue is the work of two Australian sculptors both now dead, Mr. J. E. Moorfield who executed the model to the design of Mr. C. Raynor Hoff. Sir William Reid Dick supervised the casting.
