Irish Missionary Home From Korea Internment -- Father Thomas Quinlan, Irish missionary, raises his hand in greeting as he lands at Abingdon to-day. The first Britons released from Korean captivity - six civilians and an Irish missionary, interned in North Korea for three years - landed by Royal Air Force Hastings plans at Abington airfield, Berkshire, to-day (Wednesday). Among them was Captain Vyvyan Holt, who was British Minister in Seoul when the South Korean capital was overrun. Asked where he was going when he left Abingdon, Captain Holt said, simply: 'Heaven, my home!' April 22, 1953. (Photo by Reuterphoto).
