University College Nottingham -- In the late afternoon, when most lectures are over, students retire to the residential halls, This is a view of Florence Boot Hostel, built in 1928 and named after Lady Florence Boot Hostel, built in 1928 and named after Lady Florence Boot (afterwards Lady Trent). The Hostel normally provided accommodation for eighty-two women students, each having a study-bedroom. At present, however, mainly through the influx of ex-Service students, some residents are required to share study-bedrooms, and there are now 150 at the Hostel.
