In The Footsteps Of Robin Hood -- "Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Inn" stands at the foot of the cliffs which surround Nottingham Castle, towering above. The Inn, which is actually built into the cliff, is said to have been used by men assembling in Nottingham for the crusades. It may also have been frequented by Robin Hood and some of his men, as it was in existence at that time. It claims to be the oldest inn in Britain. March 02, 1949.
