Australian High Commissioner Takes The Controls of New Aircraft For Australia -- Mr. J.H. The first of the new Convair airliners to be seen in Europe arrived at London Airport on delivery flight to Australia. The new type - built by Consolidated Vultee of America - is the first twin engined liner to have a pressurised cabin and, with seating accommodation for 40 persons, twice the capacity of the Dakota which it is to replace on civil air routes.
