Queen Elizabeth -- The King and Queen lived in London throughout the war, often visiting bomb damaged areas inspecting the destruction and sympathising with those who had lost relatives, friends and homes. Our picture shows the King and Queen in Plymouth, where they toured the dockyard and surrounding areas. They are chatting to Warden T. Andrew and his wife and baby outside the ruins of their bombed house. July 09, 1951.
