General Eisenhower And General Bradley In London - "Ike" Signs Autograph For Englishman -- General Eisenhower being approached for his autograph by Mrs May Millington as he left his hotel with friends for the theatre. Preceding him (on right) is Group-Captain Sir Louis Greig, and behind is General Omar Bradley. Shortly after their arrival in London on a visit General Dwight D. Eisenhower the Supreme Commander Allied Forces in Europe, and General Omar N. Bradley, Commanding General of the I2th Army Group, attended a theatre in company with Sir Louis Greig and other friends. As he left his hotel General Eisenhower was asked for his autograph by Mrs May Millington, an Englishwoman who is a driver with the U.S.Forces. he was formerly well-known as May Cunliffe, the racing motorist. After first refusing General Eisenhower finally broke his long-standing rule not to give autographs - and signed her book. May 16, 1945.
