India: Giant warrior figures, with a man hidden inside each, take part in a procession during a festival around Balkrishna Temple or Udupi Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi (Udipi), Karnataka, South India. The men usually advance their figures with quick, swirling movements, occasionally halting to re-adjust their setup. They look out from their figures through a round opening in the figureˇs lower chest area. The temple is dedicated to the young and playful version of (Hindu god) Krishna called Balkrishna (Boy Krishna).
