Chestnut leaf roller ( Pammene fasciana), one of the micro-moths of the family Torticidae, with a wingspan up to 17 millimetres. The flight period is June to July with a single brood each year. This species is found throughout most of Europe except the Iberian peninsular. The larvae feed internally in acorns and the nuts of the sweet chestnut. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in June.
