A historic electronic carillon on display in the Torre Latinoamericano (Latin American Tower) in Mexico City. The lettering in gold reads Schlumerich "Basilican" Bells and, below that, Schlumerich "Coronation" Carillon (Schlumerich, USA, being the manufacturer). The bell-sounds of the carillon were played using a punch-coded paper roll, shown below the control cabinets, much like a 'player-piano' or fairground organ. Electronic carillons have no bells but play the bell-sounds from speakers.
