Illustration of Quilmesaurus dinosaurs hunting a herd of Saltasaurus australis. Saltasaurus was a medium to large herbivorous sauropod. It's body was covered in bony nodules called osteoderms that may have been a form of protection from predators. Quilmesaurus was a carnivorous theropod that reached around 5 metres in length. Both dinosaurs lived during the Late Cretaceous, approximately 70 million years ago, in what is now Argentina.
