Philippine leaf insect (Phyllium philippinicum) moving at a slow, herky-jerky pace to simulate a shaking leaf as it climbs shrub. These insects are active mostly at night and rely on camouflage for defense. Females can reach lengths of 7 cm. As their name suggests they are indigenous to the Philippines and can be found in tropical forests throughout Southeast Asia.
