Rotifers are common multicellular organisms found in pond water and help form the base of the food chain. They move by swimming and by inchworming along a substrate. They will often latch onto pond debris with their feet while feeding. Recorded under Nomarski illumination with a horizontal field of view of approximately 600 microns.
