Locked Down Shot, HA, daylight. The Roman Theater of Arles, with two surviving Corinthian columns, was built in the time of Augustus and 27 BC _ 14 AD, with seating for 8,000 spectators on 33 tiers of steps. In the early Middle Ages the theater was used as a quarry, and with the material it provided the town wall was erected.
