Pan across gilded panels at the altar of Tamdrup Church, Denmark. The panels depict the conversion of King Harald Bluetooth to Christianity in the middle of the 10th century. On the left, the cleric Poppa proves his faith in Christ to the King by carrying a piece of red-hot iron without being burned. In the next panel, Poppa is seen baptising the King. The panels are made of gilded copper, and date to the 11th century.
