Copepod larva, nauplius stage, light microscopy footage. Copepods are small crustaceans found in marine and freshwater habitats. The nauplius stage is named for the head appendages used for swimming. It is also characterised by the appearance of a single unpaired eye (red). Filmed with darkfield illumination.
