Simulation of a binary star system. Most stars are not single stars. Instead, they exist as pairs whereby two stars rotate around a common centre of gravity. In this simulation the two centre spheres represent stars, whilst the coloured spheres orbiting them represent planets. The outer planets have fairly constant orbits, while the inner planets are catapulted out of the star system.
