Shoulder arthroscopy. The footage pans across from the endoscopic view on-screen to the external view of the arthroscope (endoscope used inside joints) which the surgeon has inserted into the patient's shoulder. The surgeon manipulates the arm to manoeuvre the instrument within the joint. This is a minimally invasive surgical procedure for inspection, diagnosis and repair of problems within the joint and its associated tendons, ligaments and cartilage.
