Meteor trail, timelapse. A rare view of a meteor train left in the atmosphere. The smoke trail is formed from glowing ionised atoms from friction caused by the atmosphere on the meteoroid. Halfway through the clip a fireball asteroid related to Orionid meteor shower streaks across the sky. Stars of the Big Dipper in the constellation Ursa Major appear in the view. Filmed in the early morning of 19th October, 2012, in Maine, USA.
