Globular star cluster, animation. Globular clusters are more or less spherical accumulations of stars orbiting the core of galaxies. Such clusters are bound by gravity and show an increasing stellar density towards the center of the cluster. This animation shows a virtual flight towards the centre of a globular cluster consisting of 100, 000 individual stars gravitationally interacting with each other.
